Dr. Pablo Jeczmien's 30-year career path as a psychiatrist has been anything but traditional. He started his career as a heart surgeon, working with a highly regarded team. However, at one point he became curious about the interaction between mind and body and decided to specialise in psychiatry and psychotherapy. Then, a few years ago, he gave up his management and teaching responsibilities, to spend more time studying and investigating ways to bridge mind and body in health care.
That quest for both personal and professional development has led Dr. Pablo Jeczmien to address mental and physical problems from a more multidimensional, and even spiritual, point of view. His approach to mental health and psychological disorders has become more holistic over time, combining his psychiatric knowledge with psychotherapy and resorting to medications coming only when both he and the patient agree they are necessary.
His approach apparently works. Dr. Pablo Jeczmien is highly regarded as an expert in psychosis and personality disorders, as well as depression, anxiety disorders and post-traumatic stress disorders.
